Photobat’s Location Guide Model Call

Bayside Families Wanted

I’m updating my portrait location guide and need some families of all sorts (adventurous, fun, quirky, etc) with 1-3 kids to model for me in various locations around Bayside in Melbourne.

The Location Guide is what I show perspective families to show them what is possible and give them ideas to jump off to fully personalise their sessions.

Locations i’m going to be covering include the beach, local laneways, bushland, parks, industrial and others.Every family selected will receive a complimentary portrait session and 8×12 inch print for helping me out. You will also have the option to purchase additional images if you like.

What is a Photobat?

Photobat is actually Alan Moyle, a normal Bayside dad who on the side happens to have been photographing families for the last 18 years (The first baby he photographed now owns his own car).

Along with photographing hundreds of families and weddings both locally and internationally. Alan has also produced images for some of Australia and the world’s top comedians, like Rove, Hannah Gadsby and Adam Hills (he also shot his wedding!)

And to blow his trumpet a bit more, his work has over 200 local and international awards and he is recognised as a Master of Photography with 3 gold bars, something he is pretty young to have achieved!

Alan also likes to make his family do dress-ups for photos, they may or may not enjoy this.

Nice Words From Photobat Clients

Alan has a gift of capturing the best shot at the precise moment, often when you’re not expecting it. His incredible portfolio is a testimony to the fact that he takes great pride in his work, and is one of the best in his field.

Alan is fantastic, he makes the whole family laugh and at ease and takes great photos too.

FAQ

I’m a single mum / dad can I still participate.
Yes, families of all makes ups are welcome!

How will I see the photos?
At the end of the session we will book in a time to go through your photos. I do this in person but online using a simple video conferencing app that is free to use.

Will it cost me anything?
I ask for a refundable $50 session confirmation fee to book in the session, this will be refunded or can be used towards additional purchases.

My Dog is my other child, can I include him?

Yes, just because they are covered in fur doesn’t mean they aren’t family!

What will we wear?
I have some basic suggestions around what to and what not to wear. You still need look like you but to make it easier I have a e-book I send out to everyone to guide you. Some clients even send me photos of clothes they are thinking about wearing and we tweak before the session.

Do I have to buy artwork?

There is no requirement to purchase anything from your session, but we do find that people love what we do and don’t want to leave them behind. A full pricing guide will be run through before you book in.

Can it just be the kids?
Yes it can, but I highly recommend putting aside your personal insecurities for the future benefit of your kids. They love you and in years to come will want you in the photos!

What about all this virus stuff?
We practice awesome hygiene, all our sessions are outdoors and as a rule there isn’t any contact with the people we are photographing. that said all precautions are being taken and if sessions need to be rescheduled we will do it.
