Zakk here. I’ve been meaning to do a blog post on something I’ve been working on for a week or so now. Last weekend To Write Love On Her Arms hit Launceston to raise awareness about depression and to get people talking. After many hours hard labor, Saturday rolled around and everyone looked dashing in their shirts and with markers in hand, love was on hundreds of arms and many more people had a story to share.
There was so much positive feedback that we thought we would keep the momentum going. So many people put their time and effort in, and helped us out with the materials we needed. The best part? It was all done by individuals. No political, commercial or religious backing, just people who genuinely wanting to make a difference.
A big thank you to everyone who helped, it’s already changed a small section of the world, as philosophically inclined as that sounds, it does actually make a difference. If anyone wants to get onboard, show their support or find out more information, go to our Facebook page.
