I was nervous / excited on the train into the city. Friend were being nervous, others posting about how they were “certain” before but that Facebook friend skew what you see in the feed so it can look one way but then flip. The State Library of Victoria was the official Melbourne announcement party so that is where I headed. It was pretty sedate to start, there were lots of stern looking faces… but then, the scratchy tv was put on, reception was crap… but at the right moment the result came out clear. Then the emotions flew, tears, screams… just joy. Of course, this is just one step… now our elected representatives have to do their part and make it a fair and equal bill so that no matter who you are, you can love and marry who you want.
This is only part of the story… a lot more over at my wedding blog www.alanmoyle.com.au/blog
