A Berry Good Time

Last weekend saw us heading down to Hobart for Megan and John’s wedding, we didn’t really have to travel very far compared to Megan and John who live in Switzerland.

All the girls got ready up in North Hobart with some food and drink helping keep the morning moving along.

Megan looked amazing in her dress. After she tried on in New York they ordered it off the interne. Such a small world!

We caught up with the boys at Peppermint Bay where they had some lunch and a few drinks before heading down to Megan’s family property at Yellow Point for the ceremony. John is from Scotland and was wearing his kilt and his grandfathers sporran.

Megan had a long walk to get to the aisle through that well manicured garden her father had spent weeks getting ready for the big day.

One of the funniest parts of the ceremony was the singing of All You Need Is Love by the Beatles, but everyone seemed to be out of time, everyone was laughing, a great moment. The music was provided by Strings on Fire, a local sting quartet.

After the ceremony we all headed off towards the point for some group photos, this is one of the shots that happens most wedding, the bridal part put down the wine for some photos

Then off to Yellow Point itself with just John and Megan for some death defying shot; there was only enough space on top of the cliffs for 4 people, I had to try hard not to step back!

The cake was made by A Piece Of Cake, and up to their usual standard, check out that kilt!

Megan’s dad has a little vineyard on the property and supplied some of the wine for the reception, how fantastic is that!

Congratulations again John and Megan of your fantastic wedding and on starting your married life together.
