It’s pretty exciting to have you keen to come and play. This is one of my most favourite projects as it just makes everyone happy!
As there is only limited time before we start the sessions, instead of calling you and running you through all the info, I’ve written it all our for you!
Please have a read, let me know if you have any questions and if you don’t, please book in your session time on the calendar at the bottom of this page.

THE SESSION
Session times are blocked out in 20 minute intervals, this gives us time to warm up the kids and get the best giggles and happiness!
They will be photographed in a mini studio set up at 1 Rings Rd Moorabbin.
Please try to arrive a few minutes early as the time we have is what we have! If you are late, we still have to finish on time for the next happy kid.
If your kid is sick let me know, unless it’s the last day of session I’ll be able to squeeze them in.
And yes, if you have siblings involved, we can take some photos of them together. This was quite popular last year.
PHOTO SELECTION
Once we have snapped the happy i’ll go off and work some magic on them and then we will get together over zoom to see what your favourites are.
You will also be able to choose your favourite image to receive as a digital file or put $200 towards artwork.
And about the artwork, there is a full page of all the information about that and pricing over here. There are also some specials, including 15% off digital collections, storyboards and hero artwork plus a replica of the exhibition artwork also avaliable.
5% of additional sales will be donated to The Kids Cancer Project.
THE EXHIBITION
Exhibition Opening and Book Launch at Bromley’s Bread Cheltenham.
October 20th (time TBC, most likely about 2pm)
Exhibition Dates
October 20 – 26th
Monday – Friday, 7 am-3 pm,
Saturday – Sunday, 7 am – 2 pm.
Each participant will have their photo and what makes them happy up on display. The prints will be fixed to the wall with a pretty cool material, but sadly, it’s a one-time use.
Last year, many of the kids had no idea what was going on until they walked into the exhibition, and they had the biggest smiles!
Each participant will also get a little goodie bag at the opening guarenteed to make them happy, plus the book will be there too!
THE BOOK
The cost of the book is $25, and is included in the participation fee.
The cover will be determined by a vote, i’ll mock up a cover of each child and run a little contest via the Photobat Instagram and Facebook pages to see who will be on the cover. Most votes wins but to make it not so much of a popularity competition, each voter has to vote for their top three covers.
The cover will be revealed at the exhibiton and book launch… until then it will be a closely guarded secret.
Additional copies of the book will be available to purchase up until the 6th of October for $25, with $5 from each book also going to The Kids Cancer Project.
I’ll only be doing a limited print run of the book, there will be some extra copies printed but after that there won’t be any more avaliable so if you want additonal ones for gifts you best grab them early.
WHAT TO DRESS YOUR HAPPY KIDS IN
The photos will be in black and white, to maximise the impact of the happiness! Here are some tips on what to dress your kids in.
What looks great
Mid tones will work the best for this style of photo.
Patterns can look brilliant!
Textures also look AMAZING in black and white. Think knits, denim, ruffles.
What to avoid:
Solid black / dark tones like a deep red/ blue it will just be a big block of black)
White / Bright / Light tones means your kid will disappear into the background.
Wording/logos on the tops really distracts from the face of happiness. Youre eyes will go straight to them.

Note: It would be great if you could try to go on the earlier dates; just in case there are sick kids in the earlier sessions who we need to reschedule for the last date.
Siblings, you will need to complete a separate booking for each child.
And sorry, the transaction fees got added onto the total 🙁 so there is an additional $1.95 cost. If you don’t want to pay that, just give me a call, and we can work out a bank transfer.
