Today we are getting a touch of luxury, especially for the dogs of Bayside. I stumbled upon Bayside Luxe on the bayside Community Hub and had a bit of a hunt around their shop and found so many beautiful, unique and quality products. The street numbers are high on my Christmas list this year. I’ll let Ineke tell you more about what they are and do!

My name is Ineke and I am the owner of Bayside Luxe, a homeware, gifts and clothing online store. We sell designer print clothing and accessories, homewares and gifts.
We love to engage local artists to design our prints and have handcrafted jewellery sets which are lovingly made in Bayside. We are also very proud to support three young and bright Bayside entrepreneurs in our BaysidePlanet range! All of our printed designs are digitally printed on the highest quality products right here in Melbourne.
I have lived in Bayside for over 40 years, and I grew up in one of Bayside’s first Sustainable Passive Solar Houses designed by my dad Peter Carmichael, who also designed the Evan Walker bridge in Southbank amongst many other things! We used to ride Mr Bissett’s horse up and down our street in Sandringham – bareback of course! Throughout my life I have been surrounded by graphic and industrial designers, architects and artists and have always appreciated good design (albeit not a designer or artist myself!). After completing a Post Grad in IT (E-Commerce) and travelling extensively for work and pleasure, I settled back into Bayside with my own family, and started up a Management Consulting business – Agilite Consulting as well as our boutique online store Bayside Luxe.
One of the most enjoyable aspects of my role at Bayside Luxe is partnering with our customers to bring that touch of ‘luxe’ and joy into their online shopping experience. We are also very proud to donate a percentage of our sales to very worthy charities and foundations.
We love to be able to provide luxe gift options which reflect our Bayside lifestyle such as cycling, golfing, SUP and the beach and more recently during lockdown, we were privileged to partner with Baxter Blue to offer the premium blue light glasses for those suffering eye strain from too much screen time. And as part of this wonderful Christmas give away, we are going to spoil the pooches of Bayside with two items from our Bayside Doggies collection!
