The last time I hung out with Joel was 13 years ago, and that was only for a minute or two when I snapped him backstage before his show at the Comedy Festival, all part of the Behind The Curtain exhibiton… he’s got a little more well known since then. On the stage, on the tellie and of course, kicking butt on NovaFm.
I grabbed this little extra portrait deep in the bowels of The Arts Centre after I did a little backstage portrait of him for my Variety Night Portrait series.
Aftet the shots he jumped on stage and showed why he’s going amazingly in the comedy world, he really is brilliant at what he does and the crowd lapped it up.
