Tom’s one of those guys who has a lot going on. A multi-disciplinary creative with a focus on photography, design, hosting events, writing nonsense quizzes and petting dogs.
I met him in his capacity of working for the Comedy Festival producing shows like Ali McGregors Variety Night, of course he was there every night making sure it all ran the way it should.
These shots were taken at about 1am after one of the shows. I’d always loved the carpark at the Arts Centre, but never shot there.
Kicked off with just a standard little portrait but then I remembered a really old shot I did of Ross Noble where I played with flash, natural light and time… so movement. This really sums up Tom, a lot is going on all the time. And despite the craziness, he’s still just one of those people you want to spend time with to soak up his generous and encouraging spirit.
